Every guest
should feel like a guest.
We are limiting South Africa, Personally™ to a maximum of twelve guests because the best parts of this journey need time, attention and room to unfold.
A real conversation with the chef. A question that becomes a longer exchange with an artist. A shared table where everyone can take part. A host who has time to get to know you.
Our ambition is a journey you remember for the rest of your life. Keeping the circle intimate is one of the most important choices we can make toward that.
Space to engage with the people we meet and follow a conversation beyond the first question.
An intimate group that can share the experience while giving every person a voice.
Eleven days.
Beautifully hosted.
Personally connected.
Ten nights across three distinct settings. Two signature Tables. Time in the bush. Art, wine and the people behind them. A private yacht farewell.
Each part has its own appeal. Together, they make a journey with a character all its own.

A few good
questions.
Why a maximum of twelve guests?+
We want time for personal attention, thoughtful introductions and conversations everyone can join. The group size supports the private Tables and the personal character of the journey. Our ambition is an experience guests remember for a lifetime.
How can I hear about future journeys?+

What is SMO Africa?+
SMO Africa creates intimate, people-centered journeys built around real conversations and a deeper connection to Africa. Our founding South Africa journey is in development, with inquiries now open.
Can I book the founding journey?+
Inquiries are open. Reservations are not yet available. The preliminary itinerary is 11 days and 10 nights: three nights in Johannesburg, two inside Pilanesberg and five in Cape Town. What does the journey builder do?+
It turns your selected interests, travel company and preferred pace into an illustrative brief you can download. It runs entirely in your browser. It does not send an inquiry, make a booking or create a reservation.
Is this only for safari travelers?+
The creative direction brings together contemporary cities, culture, food, conversation and wildlife. Explore the three chapters to see how those perspectives could fit together.
